www. ONINE CHURCH?

In many ways, the church (and vast religions) has decided to to make their programs and teachings more accessible to the public. With this being said, churches have decided to make them accessible through means of websites and technology. Through Dr. Capbell’s teaching, she mentioned the idea of Missional Prosumers: re-presenting offline community online creating new ways of doing ministry showing how official and unofficial communication voices can/should work in sync (Campbell, 2019). Meaning that many different churches and religions are seemingly going about this online community in order to keep followers up to date and more involved with their religion. With all of the various websites held online, one website, “Catholic Online” displays many various ways of keeping up with the Catholic religion from the accessibility of a website. This website has free catholic classes, daily readings, prayers, news, and more. This website gives and opportunities to all of those that are unable to attend church or who are wanting to further their education in the religion the opportunity to do it within seconds from their desktop computer. It is arguable one of the easiest ways a catholic is able to attend what are “masses” on a daily basis, just by searching a mass online and seeing it from anywhere. This can be seen as beneficial or hurtful to catholic community but for majority of reasons, it seems to be very helpful in the idea of spreading the religion is simplistic means. It is difficult to see that there is such a growing idea in the technology realm over even the Catholic churches. With this said, it can be seen as a very growing way for many people who are invested in learning more about the church.
